Also consider:
From an image quality standpoint you will want to adjust the contrast of an image after using the interpolation filter to avoid "haloing". Haloing occurs at the edges [ e.g. point of high contrast between light and dark areas]. If you apply the filter then adjust the contrast the results will be more aesthetically pleasing. Keep in mind this primarily holds true if you plan to print the image Projected images will allow for greater flexibility.
